It was a beautiful day to be out on the water!
This year’s 2024 Live_Lighter Ramon Challenge saw 148 paddlers take to the water in a spectacle of colour and excitement.
Our thanks to Giorgia Johnson – City of Bayswater, West Ward for officially starting off each grid on flag waving duty.
With fast times making for a great competition, it was a perfect way to launch the official opening of the Avon Descent registrations.
It was also wonderful to see a large group of juniors from Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club WA joining us again this year and placing well in their categories.
We also took the opportunity to recognize our incredible volunteers, launching our new volunteer webpage as part of National Volunteer Week and our way of showing our appreciation of these amazing humans.
Thank you to everyone involved working hard behind the scenes to make for a successful race.
Once again Bayswater Paddle Sports Club provided a healthy post-race lunch for all paddlers.
Special thanks to Beck Florisson for her super amazing effort in sorting out the Webscorer problem during the week. Please be sure to thank her when you can. Another exceptional example of the value of our volunteers.
