Lyndsay joined Paddle WA in July 2026, bringing a range of experience in sport administration and governance, strategic partnerships and community engagement. She has led high-impact initiatives across both sport and government sectors and delivered on strategic objectives to strengthen communities, increase participation and enhance pathways. As a former Australian representative (athletics), Lyndsay has a strong connection to sport from grassroots to high performance pathways and brings a passion for the power of sport to connect people and create lasting impact across social, economic and community-enriching outcomes.

Leonie has been a highly involved member of the paddling community for many decades. She was the president of Ascot Kayak Club for 8 years. Upon her resignation, she was awarded Life Membership in recognition of her role in the club’s development. She continues to volunteer and instruct around the club. Leonie is Paddle WA’s most qualified instructor, regularly running PAQS Education courses all across WA, and has overseen the growth of the LiveLighter Paddle Academy. Leonie is a valued member of the Paddle WA Board.

Abbey comes from a sprint kayaking background from WA’s own Bayswater Paddlesports Club, where she served as Club President for 2 years. She helped organise club social events including fundraising initiatives for the WA sprint athletes who were selected on the 2025 Australian teams. Despite graduating with a degree in Biomedicine; her passion for the paddling community has her still competing at a high level, recently making the U23 Worlds Australian team. Abbey would love to see all paddling disciplines grow in WA, to the point where the sport becomes even more well known than rowing!
