Sunday’s John Sims Race delivered some truly impressive performances, with a number of exceptionally fast times recorded across multiple categories.

It was particularly exciting to see the strength and depth of talent coming through from our junior paddlers, many of whom posted times that rivalled, and in some cases exceeded, more experienced competitors.
Standout Performances
Congratulations to all competitors, with special mention to the following record-setting and category-leading performances:
- Orlando Fonseca (Male U16, K1) – 52:12
- Ellie Neervoort (Female U16, K1) – 54:33
- Sasha Smail & Alastair Marsden (Male U18, K2) – 47:37.4
- Kelby Murray & Brett McDonald (Male 55+, OS2) – 47:38
- Harry Langley (Male Open, WWK1) – 54:32
It was also fantastic to see strong representation and competitive times across the masters and veteran categories, highlighting the broad appeal and longevity of paddling at all levels.
