Berglund was also agonisingly close to a second medal, finishing fourth in the K2 alongside John Young (VIC). Julie McDonald also performed strongly, placing ninth in a highly competitive Women’s 55-59 K1 field.

In the open championships, Josh Kippin achieved impressive results against world-class competition, finishing 25th in the Senior Men’s K1 Short Race and 23rd in the Senior Men’s K1 Marathon, demonstrating his ability to compete at the highest international level.
