Held over a week in September, the event was split into:

  • Masters racing on Monday and Tuesday
  • ICF World Championships from Friday to Sunday.

The venue, nestled along the scenic Mosoni-Duna River, offered a stunning backdrop but presented challenging conditions, particularly for Masters competitors who faced rough water and crowded fields. Most athletes hired boats from Nelo, Vajda, or NK, with many only seeing their craft for the first time on race day.
