After 15 years of extraordinary service, Paddle Western Australia announces the retirement of Rosalie Evans, marking the close of an era defined by commitment, integrity and growth.

Rosalie’s leadership has shaped Paddle WA into the strong, respected and community‑focused organisation it is today. Across a decade and a half, she has been a constant advocate for paddling in Western Australia, supporting clubs, athletes, volunteers and partners while strengthening governance, programs and participation across all disciplines.

Rosalie leaves behind an incredible legacy, not only in our sport but in our community and in our hearts. Her passion, care and tireless dedication have made a lasting difference to paddlers across Western Australia. She will be sorely missed.

On behalf of the Paddle WA Board, staff, volunteers and wider paddling community, we extend our deepest thanks to Rosalie for her exceptional contribution and wish her every success and happiness in her retirement.

Executive Officer Position Now Open

With Rosalie’s retirement, Paddle WA is seeking a new Executive Officer to lead the organisation into its next chapter.

This is a unique opportunity for an inspired and collaborative leader to work closely with the Paddle WA Board, staff and stakeholders to grow paddling in Western Australia and continue delivering high‑quality services to our diverse community.

The Executive Officer will provide strategic leadership, oversee operations and financial sustainability, and strengthen relationships across government, sport and community sectors.

Staff Update

Paddle WA also acknowledges that Leanne Hampson, Marketing and Communications Manager, has resigned from her role after three years of service. During her time with Paddle WA, Leanne delivered a number of highly successful projects and programs that have left a lasting legacy for the organisation. We sincerely thank Leanne for her creativity, dedication and impact, and wish her every success in her next chapter.
